Lincoln Wheat Cent 1936-D / RPM-004 / Denver

RPM-004

Description:

Repunched D fully north of the primary. I have included an overlay that helps establish the secondary D. I cannot rule out that the D is in fact coincidental die scratches. An earlier die state coin could resolve the questions I have about this RPM.

Stage C:

Obv and Rev are MDS. Numerous north south die scratches through date ad in front of Lincoln. A couple of diagonal scratches through the 6 of the date and extending southwest. Small clash behind neck and subsequent die scratches to remove them. Circular die scratches below Lincoln's bust along rim. Diagonal rim scratches through GOD. Strong scratch through B in LIBERTY.
